I’m back. It’s lovely to be home again, surrounded by Christmas lights and snow. I was staying with family in Malibu, CA. where I was immersed in the culture of ocean breezes and emaciated bodies in skinny jeans. I learned several things on the trip about myself, among them, I am east coast for life.

Apparently, according to Malibu standards, I am in need of botox. I’m 23 years old. And I quote, “Oh my god, when you get angry, you have a wrinkle on you’re forehead… you so need botox.”

And then I look at her, all intelligence flowing out of my body, a blank vain stare holds me in place. “See!!! There it is the line. You’ll so need it like next year.” Correction, I need botox when I’m 24.

And so, this holiday season, when you’re sharing a glass of wine with a dear friend, mesmerized by the lines on their face, simply throw one of these The Youth As We Know It moisturizers in their stocking. It’s just better that way.

And for the record, I like my forehead anger line.
