I spent last night wrapping gifts and listening to Christmas music. After placing the presents under my less-than-stellar tree, I decided to treat myself to a little online shopping. Afterall, among my New Year’s Resolutions is to dress up more, wear shorter skirts and invest in a pair of seamed stockings and a vintage garter belt (think classy, not hooker…or maybe just classy hooker)

This, of course, is along with my goals to make more money, cut off cable and read a book every two weeks. Basically, I want to expand my wardrobe from my simple jeans, and become more… French?

Shopbop has great dresses at the moment, so I decided to buy two. Already I am sabotaging “make more money in ‘08″ resolution. Chances are I will end up returning one of them, but I can hardly await their arrival. I indulged in the red Thayer Viva Dress and the Rachel Pally Shirred V Back Dress in black. I couldn’t be further from my t-shirt and jeans, and yes, they may be a little bit hookerish, but I am going to embrace my vamped up side in 2008. I’ll let you know how that works out.
