Earth Day 2008 arrives April 22nd. We are reminded how important it is to take care of the planet that we live on and we do our best to teach our children the same.  Maybe our children are helping to teach us.  Recycling, replacing your light bulbs with CFL’s, using public transportation, and composting are some simple first steps to take if you haven’t already.

Well, if you shop online you have not driven anywhere which means you haven’t polluted our atmosphere and haven’t contributed to Global Warming. You also did not receive a paper receipt which means less trees will be cut down. Yes it is true that your purchased item will be shipped to you and therefore pollution will occur but UPS and Fed Ex drive these routes daily and believe me they will not stop whether you buy online or drive to the nearest shopping plaza. So your online purchase did stop the output of additional and unneeded pollution.
